As I sit here trying to unfreeze my fingers on this chilly winter day, I’m contemplating fixing a cup of hot chocolate. Here’s a little recipe I use to make a Mexican version of the favorite winter beverage.
Ingredients (serves one but can easily double or triple)
One cup of your favorite milk
Two tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa
Two tablespoons of white granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
Directions
Whisk all ingredients into a small saucepan (might take a minute or so). Bring to just shy of a boil then pour into a mug and enjoy!
I love spicy dark chocolate, so spicy hot chocolate sounds just as good! Especially with the way my fingers and toes are constantly numb during the winter…
sounds good except I’d add 1/4 tsp allspice and use light cream
Sounds really good. Never tried this before.
