Today is officially release date for a little erotic short story called SWEETER THAN SUGAR. I’m so excited about this story because it features the very sexy Chef Kyle. You met him in Buttercreamed as part of the Hooked Up at the Wedding anthology. He’s one of those characters I just couldn’t let go and I wanted him to have a romantic happily ever after.
So, now he does, and I set Sweeter Than Sugar at the “happiest place on Earth.” See if you can identify the hotel where Chef Kyle is staying if you’re a Disney fan.

Seconds later, they were swarmed by reporters, judges and photographers. Someone brought over a larger-than-life cardboard copy of a check that bore both his name and Gavin’s with ten thousand dollars written in the amount box. Kyle stood next to his workmate and grasped the top of the check. Gavin did the same. Flashbulbs went off so quickly and in such rapid succession he saw golden spots behind his eyes for many minutes afterward.
One of the reporters stuck a cell phone near his face and said, “So, Chef Kyle, are you going to take your winnings and enjoy yourself? After all, we are in the Happiest Place on Earth. There’s no place better to drop a ton of cash than the vacation mecca.”
At the last second, Kyle stopped himself from rolling his eyes. He’d been on the property for three days, yet that time had been spent preparing for the competition. He had two days left on the room reservations. Chances were it would take most of one to pack up all the crap they’d brought plus deal with interviews and whatever else needed finishing. Exploring the four-park property wasn’t his top priority, and he didn’t know if a vacation compound based on an animated rodent held enough charm and challenge for him.
But he didn’t voice those thoughts. Instead, he plastered on his best grin. “Well, I guess that depends. Right now, it sure feels like I’ve ridden a rollercoaster in the last few hours, and I’m not anxious to get off.”
A round of congenial, sycophantic laughter broke out among the people pressed tightly around them. Then his attention was taken up with a question and answer session, more pictures and shooting the breeze with contest judges who still had questions about his cake and sugar manipulation technique.
He nodded even as his mind spun and the heady rush of victory clung to him. Everyone loves a winner, yet his stomach clenched. Visions of a certain brown-eyed woman with a waterfall of shiny blonde hair held him captive.
Scratch that. Almost everyone.
