Fun Friday: Luck of the Draw by Silke Juppenlatz

Published March 1, 2013 by evilauthor

Today is my last day at work.
It feels very strange to be leaving after almost 5 1/2 years.

It did remind me how luck plays a big role in life. Sometimes you are, most often you’re not.
I started looking a while ago, but had no responses to applications. No feedback, nothing.
Then out of the blue, I got a call asking if I’d be interested in a job I’d never have applied for, thinking I’d never get it.
Well–I did.
I was quite shocked. Stuff like that just doesn’t happen to me.
Then I nearly lost it, before I even started.
But once again luck was on my side and the issues were sorted out.

Call it fate, karma, luck — I think it exists.
Do you believe in luck?

  • I have 6 children and so I believe in miracles AND luck. I have had my hard luck with bad relationships and poor health…the latter put me out of work. But have had good luck with other blessings. It is all about attitude and faith that the new day will bring ALL of it back to you (but maybe not on your OUR schedule).

Hope you are very happy with your new job! I’d say “good luck” but you’ve already GOT it!

  • I believe Karma hugs us like a coat. We have to mindful of our actions, thoughts and emotions because that coat sometimes is magnetic and draws to us what we are radiating.

    Many congrats on the job!

    Smiles,

    Linda Joyce
